Street School
Street School began in 2017 to take fun and experiential education to inner city kids who couldn't afford to attend science enrichment programs. Our dual mission was to also support homeschooling families especially in the areas of science.
We've been in the homeschool community for more than 20 years and we're here to answer questions you might have about homeschooling. We do our classes in a culture of character and leadership development. We are also helping parents do home education to create a healthy family eco-system.
Street School is now ready to take to the streets! Book a class and we'll come to you. From Dinosaurs to Outer Space we are ready to go on adventures with you. As an added bonus, for every class you book, we can serve our neighbors in lower income parts of town. It's a win-win.

Founder Erica Calkins has a masters in education and over 30 years experience working for museums, non-profits and programs for gifted and talented children all over the US. She homeschooled all her 5 children through high school and many of them went on to honors programs in college with advanced degrees.
